About the Airport
The Airport «Antonio Canova» located in Treviso-Sant'Angelo (TSF), also know as the “Venice-Treviso Sant'Angelo” or the “Venice-Treviso” Airport, is just 3 km away from the city centre on the State Route “SR 515”.
The Treviso “A. Canova” Airport qualified to become a civil aviation stopover in the 30s. In May 1953 the first international flight took-off and it was shortly after followed by the introduction of new international routes such as: London and Vienna and new internal flights operated by the flag carrier Alitalia.
Up untill the 1960s, when the near local Airpot of Tessera opened, the “Treviso-S. Angelo” was considered the reference airport for Venice.
The Terminal offers several facilities such as: bars, shops, restaurants and bookshops. Free assistance for disabled passegners is available.
The Treviso Airport is now considered the secondary Airport for Venice devoted to host charter flights , lowcost flights and cargo.In 2007 new terminal was inaugurated.
