Things to see in Rome
Centuries of history, a glorious and long term Empire and a plethora of artists and patrons have given Rome an unparalleled artistic heritage. Every corner of this city seeps culture and history and will leave you speechless.

Here is a list of a few of the many amazing sites in the eternal city: via dei Fori Imperiali, one of the most beautiful streets in Rome that separates the original Roman Forum from the Imperial Forums.

Rome guide - ColiseumAlong this road you can see the Santissimi Cosma e Damiano basilica and the Santa Francesca Romana Church.
At the end of the road you can admire Rome’s most famous monument, perhaps the symbol of the city itself: the Coliseum. The original name of the Coliseum is the Flavio Amphitheatre and, during the Ancient Roma era, housed fights between gladiators and beasts. The stadium could host up to 45,000 spectators.

Not to be missed: the Complesso del Vittoriano, dedicated to Italy’s first king, the construction of this monument commenced in 1885 and finished in 1911. In 1925 the Altare della Patria was added to the monument. On this alter you can find, amongst other symbols, the Statue of Rome and the equestrian statue in bronze of Vittorio Emanuele II on a base that represents the Regions in Italy.
