Pisa G. Galilei airport (PSA) is the main airport for domestic and international flights in Tuscany, Italy.
The airport has a higher passenger transit number than Florence airport and this is primarily for two reasons:
Pisa airport has a bigger runway and this allows larger aircrafts to land there.
Over the last few years, Pisa airport has been selected as the Tuscan low cost hub for low-cost airlines, including Ryanair.
The airport has grown significantly since the 1990′s when it first opened its doors to low cost airlines. Today, 20 airlines, both flagship and low-cost fly to/from Pisa and connect it and Tuscany to many national, European and international destinations including New York.
